Exhaust Thread Repair
A high quality repair is processed by:
| The thread area is degreased and media blasted. | |
| Dependent on the extent of the damage, the usual next step is removal of the damaged threads. | |
| The damaged thread area is then built up via the TIG weld process. | |
| The threads are then machined on a lathe. |
This repair can be processed on the following airhead exhaust threads:
| 1955-69 R50/R6/2 models. | |
| 1955-69 R69/R69S models. | |
| 1955-67 R26 & R27 models. | |
| 1970-84 Airheads (except R65) | |
| Others on a select basis. |
